While there are many pieces to the puzzle that is our annual show/demo schedule, the primary factors that are used to determine WWSRA's calendar include:
The National Show Cycle
Primarily Outdoor Retailer
Facility/Resort Availability
To secure our optimal dates we make every attempt to book venues at minimum one year out, with penciled dates as much as 3 years out. Based on the size of our shows, the number of hotel rooms we book, and other various factors; WWSRA is limited in the venues we can use or the resorts that can host us. Creating consistent, positive relationships with our venues over the years has helped us to continue securing locations and keep show costs as low as possible in venues with continuously rising costs.
Scheduling Around Holidays & Weekends
During the winter cycle this is an enormous challenge.
Sales Rep Territory Overlap
The Rocky & Intermountain regions are serviced by many of the same reps; 80+ reps travel from CO to exhibit in Intermountain Shows.
Product Considerations
Majority sample ship dates, order deadlines, brand sales meetings, etc.
Date Determinations
WWSRA members and their regional board members meet at each show to discuss dates that work best for the business being done at that particular show and consider all the above factors when selecting and/or voting on dates.
