Yes! WWSRA values the role that new and emerging brands play in our industry. If you’re a manufacturer or distributor without territory-specific sales reps, you are eligible to exhibit at our events under a Manufacturer Account.
This option is designed to help you showcase your brand, connect with retailers, and ideally find independent sales reps to represent your line in the future.
Manufacturers vs. Members — What’s the Difference?
In compliance with WWSRA bylaws, only 1099 and W2 sales reps are eligible for membership. This distinction exists because membership includes voting rights within each region, something tied to local representation and governance.
Manufacturers and distributors, who often operate outside of specific territories or across multiple regions, do not vote and are therefore classified separately. While this means you’re not a member, you are still fully welcome to exhibit and participate in our shows.
What Is a Manufacturer Account?
A Manufacturer Account is for companies or individuals who:
- Do not employ W2 or 1099 sales reps
- Cover multiple territories across or beyond the Western U.S.
- Are owners, principals, or distributors exhibiting directly
*Manufacturer accounts are not memberships, so no membership fees or annual dues apply. Instead, a $500 Manufacturer’s Fee is charged per show, in addition to booth costs.
Guidelines for Manufacturer Accounts:
- Primary Contact: The account is created under one individual’s name. All show communications will go to this person. It’s your responsibility to share info internally with your team.
- Additional Staff: Assistants, employees, or owners attending can be listed in your show contract.
- Invoicing: All payments are made online by credit card when your show contract is submitted — WWSRA does not issue invoices.
- Show Placement: Determined by the show manager and guided by WWSRA’s priority system
Important Reminders:
- Respect the Space: Please do not attend events solely to recruit sales reps. WWSRA events are focused on active selling, not solicitation.
- Plan Ahead: Since most meetings are set by appointment, be proactive in reaching out to buyers — don’t rely solely on walk-by traffic.
- Keep It Simple: WWSRA shows aren’t super flashy, but they are super effective. Booth spaces are straightforward and focused on efficient business, not elaborate booth designs and brand activations. Our focus is on effective representation and business connections.
What If I’m a Distributor?
Distributors are treated the same as manufacturers for exhibiting purposes.
This includes:
- Brands or individuals introducing products from overseas
- Companies handling multiple brands under one umbrella
